"To Kill A Mockingbird" was first published in 1960. The novel is based in the mid to late 1930's. The mockingbird symbolizes innocence in the novel. The movie was made in 1964. Gregory Peck plays the role of Atticus Finch.The Jim Crow laws were state and local laws in the U.S. enacted between 1876 and 1965.
