TKAM Assignment 4

1. On Dill's last night, they go and try to see Boo Radley, but Jem loses his pants.

2. Dill answers Scout's question by telling her that n0body could see them at night, and Atticus would be deep into his book.

3. Jem's relationship with Scout is changing, as he is now somewhat independent and irritable, and spends less time with her. I think their relationship is changing because Jem is more mature now, and trying to be a man.

4. Going around in someone else's skin means that Scout tried to see things through Jem's point of view, and experience what he is experiencing. She means she tried to understand what Jem was going through.

5. When Jem goes back to find his pants, he finds them sewn back up and folded. This could be foreshadowing that the person leaving things in the tree is not a bad person, and knows the kids are taking the stuff in the tree.

6. Scout is extremely unhappy at the second grade, thinking it's harder than the first. Jem reassures her by telling her that it'll get easier afterwards.

7. In the tree, they find a little grey ball of twine and some figures carved into soap.

8. Mr. Radley is the one who plugs the hole in the tree with cement. I do not think that Mr. Radley is being honest when he gives his reason for plugging the tree, because it seems perfectly healthy to Atticus.

9. I think Boo Radley is putting the things in the tree.
Christian, Jacob.
