Heidi - Assignment 2 - Characters and Location

As a group respond to the following prompts/questions. Be sure to post the first name of each group member at the bottom of the post.

1. Heidi's grandfather is called the Alm-Uncle. Explain how he got this name.
2. What do the villagers think of the Alm-Uncle?
3. Once the Alm-Uncle character is introduced to the story, does he seem to fit the personality as described by Dete?
3. Discuss the characteristics of Dete. Why is she with Heidi and why does she want to leave Heidi with Heidi's grandfather?
3. Who are Tobias and Adelheid? What happens to them?
4. The story opens in the town of Maienfeld. The Alm-Uncle has sworn to never set foot in the town of Domleschag. Using Google Earth, find Maienfeld and Domleschag and determine the distance between the two towns. How long would it take to drive from one town to the other? Post a picture of the route. The picture should look similar to the one with this post.
5. Describe the town of Maienfeld as seen from Google Earth.
